Hi Friends! Today is our first weekend back to homeschooling this year with the boys! I didn’t have any ideas off the top of my head so I went to Pinterest and found the cutest craft idea that sparked this entire airplane theme for us today! The craft we did was a blue sponge painting that turned out so cute! Isaiah really got into it and used his sponge to paint. Zeke mostly just wanted to use his hands and finger paint but both turned out so nice. I cut and taped the airplanes on once their pictures dried. So adorable and they are currently hanging up in the boys room!
We have a little people airplane in our current toy collection and I brought that out to do a guided playtime session. Guided playtime and one on one time means the most to me because that’s genuine quality time that I get to do something with them that they enjoy. We took turns putting the little people in and taking them out- I even showed them how to make an airplane sound! Afterwards we opened up a book and looked at different planes and things that fly in the sky. The book is My Big Book Of Things That Go from Usborne Books. From start to finish our learning time was about a half an hour which is perfect in between time for both of the kids ages. We had fun! If you are looking for resources in this new year that are easy, affordable and are packed with learning... this is the blog for you! I would love to extend the invitation to subscribe and have play ideas sent right to your email inbox. There is a sign up slot right above this post, looking forward to having you apart of this community! Have fun playing today! -Najah
