Today I’m sharing some toy ideas for one year olds and this gift guide is a haul of toys my soon to be one year old Ezekiel will be getting for his birthday next week. Turning one is such an exciting time for little ones and they usually go through a huge growth spurt both cognitively and physically. My little boy Ezekiel was born Aug 30th and we‘re hosting a little home party for him with a few close family members and friends. I really wanted to focus on what I noticed Ezekiel was interested in as well as what I knew he would be learning during this time with the toys he’d be getting. I know Ezekiel is going to love this fun surprise toy when he sees it! It features unique colors, adorable animals and four different controls that make the animals appear. There’s a knob, push button, a switch and pull tab that helps work on fine motor skills. Babies can put the animals back down and enjoy seeing them pop up again and again!
Ezekiel has a love for banging toys together on any hard surface. The walls, the floor and his clothing dresser have all been taking hits lately so I thought I’d be great to give him something that he can hit that doesn't cause damage to the house 😂 This little drum is so cute and comes with two detachable drumsticks. I can already see him now spending lots of time making music on this!
This is Zeke’s big gift from my husband and I and I can’t wait to see him play with it! When researching this toy I saw it was a target exclusive but happened to find it in Amazon cheaper. This garden allows tots to grow and water their own veggies, sing along to fun songs and learn counting, colors and science concepts. I know many people hate light up singing toys for kids but Zeke is so drawn to them and actually loves to dance to the music and push all the buttons. I know this will be a hit!
