Hi Friends!
Homeschool week three was a short and sweet one. We dived into all things construction with some simple activity ideas that we got from The Chirping Moms blog. As a working mom who only homeschools one day out of the week I try to make the activities as fun as I can. The chirping moms do not disappoint with their easy, affordable and FREE play ideas!
This week was all about construction and we kicked things off with a really easy sensory bin! I used dry navy beans that looked like little pebbles and tossed in a yellow spoon and trucks. Isaiah loved this bin and was much more involved in sensory play this week vs last week.

After sensory play I helped Isaiah with his hand writing and we chose the letter “C” for construction! We finger traced and then used his trucks to follow the letter “C” path- that was really fun! We did circle time on YouTube using ABA techniques to help encourage him to sit for twenty minutes and participate. He’s getting much better!
Ezekiel woke up from his nap and joined us in watching a Blippi episode all about construction trucks and their function and to end it off we read “Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site”. This was a recommended book from The Chirping Moms lesson plan. The boys love this book and it is on heavy rotation at night for bedtime stories. School was a bit shorter (1hr) but definitely rich in knowledge! Can’t wait for next week!
